In this class you'll learn how to create motion graphics and visual effects used for broadcast, film, online content and mobile devices. After Effects CS6 has added many performance boosters allowing you to meet your deadlines faster. There is a new 3D engine (supporting fully ray-traced text and shapes) for extrusions, a 3D camera tracker, variable mask feathering and support to convert Illustrator (or EPS) vector art into shape layers. After Effects is also used for green screen editing. See how to take live video, shot on a green screen background, drop out the green and replace the background with new video or a still image.
What is the difference between Premiere and After Effects? The answer is this: Premiere does hard-core video editing, shortening clips, replacing audio, simple transitions, multi-camera editing and export of your final work. After Effects is the application that allows you to integrate moving video with still or animated effects, such as titles, 3D-motion graphics, filters that can create radio waves, particles, distortion and shatter effects.
